Big changes this week as 9 teams advance with three contests cooked, but former leader Smoke Me Silly was not one of them! Bub-Ba-Q managed to capitalize on the opportunity with a Reserve Grand in Cornelia to once again place Bubba and Shannon in first place. Still, the coming weekend could be a game changer. Who will be on top when the numbers from Columbus are posted? Stay tuned!

Nothing demonstrates the value of GBC membership like a first-year contest, and the inaugural Smokin’ on the River event in Summerville surpassed all expectations. The organizers had hoped to attract 20 Pro teams to the small NW Georgia town, but ended up with 41! Congrats to Old Plantation for winning the Grand, and 4:20 Q made the trip all the way from Maryland to capture Reserve. With the scores in, Smoke Me Silly retains the top position overall, but in an unusual turn of events, they don’t lead a single meat category. Stay tuned for more points chase drama as the Cornelia contest is coming up in just a couple weeks…
